Bechard Vineyard & Winery is located in the Fairplay wine region of El Dorado County, California. The vineyard at an elevation of 2400ft, located in Somerset, is the northernmost vineyard in the Fairplay AVA and overlooks the North fork of the Cosumnes river valley. Our focus is on handcrafted, small lots of blended wines, Syrah and Zinfandel. Currently available wines include our 2007 Shenandoah Valley Sauvignon Blanc, 2005 Sierra Foothill Grenache, 2006 Oakmont Vineyard Zinfandel , 2004 Lodi Petite Sirah, 2005 El Dorado Syrah, 2005 Cadeaux de la Terre and 2005 Tempranillo. Following in the traditional winemaking styles of the Rhone Valley in France and the Rioja region in Spain, our vineyard was planted with Viognier, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Tempranillo and Petite Sirah.
Our wines are currently available to our mailing list and local delivery is available. They can also be purchased at the Wine Smith in Placerville, Dolce Vino in Cameron Park, Annabell's Chocolate Lounge in El Dorado, Susan's Place in Sutter Creek, Chutney's Indian Cuisine in San Ramon, Redbud Cafe and Dolco Vino, Cameron Park, Taste Restaurant, Plymouth, Uncorked at Squaw Valley, Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite National Park, Gold Vine Grill in Somerset and Bocconato Trattoria in Fairplay.
